Wellness Allowance. Effective January 1, 2021 employees will be entitled to a wellness allowance of $600 per calendar year for full-time employees and $300 a year for part-time employees. Employees are required to submit the receipt for reimbursement. The following items will be eligible for the allowance: (a) Any item prescribed to the employee by a physician including but not limited to medical devices. (b) Membership to a fitness facility or online fitness platform. (c) Membership in a weight management program. (d) Psychological fees including Registered Clinical Counsellor or Registered Social Worker. (e) Any vision related expense including vision testing, prescription glasses, contact lenses or laser eye surgery.
