Weekend Definition. The weekend shall be defined as the forty- 11 eight (48)-hour period from 2300 Friday to 2300 Sunday, except 12 that in departments with mixed shifts (e.g., both eight (8)- and 13 twelve (12)-hour shifts), the weekend for a night shift nurse's 14 position is either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday, as 15 designated by the Hospital for that position.
