VPLS Sample Clauses

The VPLS (Virtual Private LAN Service) clause defines the terms and conditions under which a service provider delivers a multipoint-to-multipoint Ethernet-based virtual private network to the customer. This clause typically outlines the technical specifications, service levels, and responsibilities for establishing and maintaining the VPLS connection, such as bandwidth commitments, network topology, and support obligations. By clearly setting out these parameters, the clause ensures that both parties understand the scope and quality of the VPLS service, thereby minimizing disputes and ensuring reliable, secure connectivity across multiple customer sites.
VPLS. Layer 2 virtual private LAN service (“VPLS”) is optional feature for Private Ports only. Private Ports with VPLS are supported on CenturyLink-certified Cisco equipment and are limited to the following connection and encapsulation methods: Ethernet 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1000 Mbps with Ethernet encapsulation; DS1 and DS3 with Frame Relay encapsulation, and OC3 with ATM encapsulation. The following features are not available with Private Ports with VPLS: (a) usage reports; (b) the Precise Burstable or Data Transfer pricing methodologies; (c) the SLA’s Reporting Goal; (d) VPN Extensions and (e) End-to-End Performance Reporting.
VPLS. Layer 2 virtual private LAN service (“VPLS”) is optional feature for Private Ports only. VPLS is not available for CenturyLink IQ+ Ports or CenturyLink IQ+ Cloud Ports.

Customers selecting VPLS Service must purchase a minimum of two (2) VPLS ports in order to set up a dedicated site-to-site connection. VPLS Service will be connected to each site (including third-party sites designated by CCuusstotmeor Smitees”r) t(htrooguegth ear,Cu“stciorcumit elocrationpaoddrrests, or a(iit) a POePi, in each case as specified in the Service Order. Customer Sites will be connected to a port at one (1) or more MPLS Network POPs at a fixed data transmission rate.
VPLS. VPLS is a VPN service which provides a private Ethernet connection(s) between two (2) or more sites (“VPLS Service”). VPLS Service is provided over a MPLS Network. Customers selecting VPLS Service must purchase a minimum of two (2) VPLS ports in order to set up a dedicated site-to-site connection. VPLS Service will be connected to each site (including third-party sites designated by Customer) (together, “Customer Sites”) through a Customer port at either (i) a circuit location address, or (ii) a POP, in each case as specified in the Service Order. Customer Sites will be connected to a port at one (1) or more MPLS Network POPs at a fixed data transmission rate.
