Violation; liability for unpaid wages; liquidated damages. In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section the contractor and any subcontractor responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor and subcontractor shall be liable to the United States, for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section, in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section.

In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) subparagraph 1 of this section provision, the contractor Subrecipient and any subcontractor of its subcontractors that are responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor the Subrecipient and its subcontractor shall be liable to the United States, States for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) subparagraph 1 of this sectionprovision, in the sum of ten dollars ($10 10) for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) subparagraph 1 of this sectionprovision.

Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this sectionA. above, in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this sectionA. above.

In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section a), the contractor CONTRACTOR and any subcontractor Subcontractor responsible therefor therefore shall be liable to any affected employee for the his unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor CONTRACTOR and subcontractor Subcontractor shall be liable to the United States, States for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, mechanic employed in violation violations of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this sectiona), in the sum of Ten Dollars ($10 10.00) for each calendar day on which such individual employee was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty (40) hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this sectiona).

In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1A) of this section the contractor Hotel and any subcontractor responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor Hotel and subcontractor subcontractor(s) shall be liable to the United States, States for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1A) of this section, in the sum of $10 26 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1A) of this section.

In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section the contractor Contractor and any subcontractor sub Contractor responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor Contractor and subcontractor sub Contractor shall be liable to the United States, States for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section, in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section.
