Vectors Sample Clauses

The "Vectors" clause defines the rules and parameters regarding the use, ownership, or management of vectors within the context of the agreement. In practice, this clause may specify how vectors—such as data structures, mathematical entities, or transmission agents—are to be handled, shared, or protected between the parties. For example, it could address the rights to modify, distribute, or utilize vectors in a collaborative project or research setting. The core function of this clause is to ensure clarity and prevent disputes by establishing clear guidelines for the treatment and responsibilities associated with vectors.

Vectors. Due to the large surface area of standing water within the ▇▇▇▇▇, The San ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ is a breeding habitat for numerous mosquito species. Two mosquito species which have been identified in the ▇▇▇▇▇ represent a potential health threat to the surrounding human population: Culex tarsalis, potential carrier and transmitter of the encephalitis virus, and Anopheles freeborni, potential carrier and transmitter of the malaria virus. In addition, a third species, Culex erythrothorax, are common to the ▇▇▇▇▇. These species are most active during the mosquito breeding season from May to October. There is no record of any virus transmission to human due to mosquitoes breeding in the ▇▇▇▇▇. It should be noted, however, that infants and small children (up to 3 to 4 years old) have a higher mortality rate than adults in cases where encephalitis virus is transmitted. Although children staying at the day care facility will be playing in outdoor areas, their play time normally occurs during the day time hours and not during evening hours when the Culex tarsalis is the most active. Persons seeking additional information on mosquito-transmitted viruses are encouraged to call the Orange County Vector Control District at (▇▇▇) ▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇.
Vectors. The Contractor shall control all vectors (birds, rodents, insects, and other disease carrying or breeding organisms) on the Site, subject to applicable regulations. Use of any chemical sprays, traps and similar measures shall be approved by the County Agriculture Department and the Environmental Health Services Department. The Contractor shall obtain final approval from the Department before the use of any pesticide or rodenticide is deployed for vector control. Application of any of the stated substances shall be performed in compliance with all applicable State and Federal wildlife protection regulations. No chemicals shall be used within 20 feet of monitoring ▇▇▇▇▇.
Vectors. A vector is an organism (such as an insect) that transmits a pathogen from one organism or source to another. Factors to consider include whether the vector is present in Canada, whether the intermediate host is present in Canada, whether the climate or other environmental factors lower the chance of survival and whether the organism can survive in surrogate or alternate vectors.

  • Vaccination and Inoculation ‌ (a) The Employer agrees to take all reasonable precautions to limit the spread of infectious diseases among employees, including in-service seminars for employees. Where the Employer or Occupational Health and Safety Committee identifies high risk areas which expose employees to infectious or communicable diseases for which there are protective immunizations available, such immunizations shall be provided at no cost to the employee. The Committee may consult with the Medical Health Officer. Where the Medical Health Officer identifies such a risk, the immunization shall also be provided at no cost. The Employer shall provide Hepatitis B vaccine, free of charge, to those employees who may be exposed to bodily fluids or other sources of infection. (b) An employee may be required by the Employer, at the request of and at the expense of the Employer, to take a medical examination by a physician of the employee's choice. Employees may be required to take skin tests, x-ray examination, vaccination, and other immunization (with the exception of a rubella vaccination when the employee is of the opinion that a pregnancy is possible), unless the employee's physician has advised in writing that such a procedure may have an adverse effect on the employee's health.
