Vacancy Definition. A vacancy shall be defined as any position in the bargaining unit resulting from: 1. A bargaining unit member leaving employment as a result of a termination, resignation, or death. 2. A bargaining unit member non-renewed. 3. A bargaining unit member transfer to another bargaining unit position. 4. A bargaining unit member assuming a non-bargaining unit position. 5. The creation of a new bargaining unit position. 6. The Board is not obligated to fill vacant positions.
