UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS. The Parties to this Agreement agree to approve the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in support of wildland fire incidents on all federal and State lands. The National Park Service requires incident-specific Park Superintendent approval prior to UAS use. All UAS activities shall be conducted in accordance with each agency’s aviation rules, policies, and directives. For interagency missions (defined as missions with aircraft from two or more agencies in the fire traffic area), the standards of the agency with the most stringent rules, policies and directive apply.
