UDG. The time scheduling of the course and lecture distribution among the teaching staff has to take into account the contract of every lecturer with the university which is full-time or part-time. Full-time teaching staff is dedicated exclusively to the University, while part-time staff contribution depends on the terms of their contracts. Nevertheless, in all cases every lecturer has to provide two hours per week to assist the students in the advancement of their studies. Moreover, every degree/masters coordinator also books four hours per week to assist the students in terms of study organization, teaching staff and general questions. Overall, the personalized attention to the MSc students is always ensured. On the other hand, the interaction between students and professors is also ensured via e-mail, forums and the module intranet. Furthermore, during the fourth semester, when the students are doing their MSc thesis, every student is assigned to a professor who becomes the thesis supervisor. During this semester the student is closely supervised by the professor, and is fully integrated within the research lab team. • HWU. For the taught part of the course, staffs are all present full time on-site, and can at all times be informally approached beyond the contact hours by students either through e-mail or directly in their office. When the student need for support cannot be resolved on the spot, it is the choice of individual staff members to either make themselves available through appointments or at fixed times during the week. This added support time averages two hours per week per module. Special support times are usually set for coursework guidance. For the MSc projects, each student is allocated one member of staff as a supervisor, and is integrated within the team of one of the VISP and Oceans labs. This means that added to the close guidance of the supervisor, the student also gets day-to-day support from experienced research associates and post graduate students.

UDG. Permanent and senior members of the group belong to the Electronic, informatics and Automatic Department, where they lead the course on “AI a basic research tool” under the umbrella of the Doctoral School and coordinate the Master on Industrial Internet of Things. RESOLVD results are positively impacting UDG activities in terms of research, teaching and training:  PhD has finished during the project (Data-Driven Approaches for Event Detection, Fault Location, Resilience Assessment, and Enhancements in Power Systems Sustentation expected: Jan 2021  1 on-going PhD: Flexibility management in interconnected microgrids (▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇)  1 potential candidate for new PhD - Master thesis on smart grids Automation (▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇, member of the group)  Talent recruitment, through the application of post-doc National and TECNIOSPRING (▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇) fellow-ships  Case study on LV smart grids and SGAM analysis in the degree subject: ”Smart grids” (degree on Electric engineering and degree on Industrial electronics and Automation). UdG will continue its research on data driven methods to provide enhanced energy services. Particularly the efforts will be put on the development of flexibility solutions, tools and energy grid services, targeting the resilient and efficient operation of the LV grid. UdG has already presented the project FLExibility MAnagement for Energy Communities (FLEMA), pending resolution at the moment of writing this document, to the Spanish Funding Agencies. UdG could consider complementary disciplines in collaboration with other Research groups, such as SSH (Social Science and Humanities), to provide also a citizen centric approach in the context of the energy transition.

  • MANAGEMENT GRIEVANCES 14.01 It is understood that the Management may bring forward at any meeting held with the Union Representative any complaint with respect to the conduct of the Union, or Stewards, and that if such complaint by Management is not settled to the mutual satisfaction of the conferring Parties, it may be treated as a grievance and referred to arbitration in the same way as the grievance of any employee.
