Common use of Turf Mowing Clause in Contracts

Turf Mowing. i. Mowing height for St. Augustine or Bahia turf shall be at 3 inches and shall not be permitted to grow to more than 4 inches. ii. Turf cut frequency should be done as follows: • Westerly Effluent Discharge Site (WEDS), ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇. Turf areas shall be cut once every two weeks from March 1st thru September 30th and once every four weeks from October 1st thru February 28th. • EWRF Administration Building (areas in red on the map) ▇▇▇▇ ▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇. Turf shall be cut once per week from March 1 thru September 30th. Turf shall be mowed once every two weeks from October 1st thru February 28th. • EWRF RAPID INFILTRATION BASIN (RIB) (areas in green and teal on map) - Turf areas shall be cut once every two weeks from March 1st thru September 30th and once every four weeks from October 1st thru February 28th. • NWRF Administration Building, (all areas in red on map), ▇▇▇ ▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Rd Apopka, FL 32703. Turf shall be cut once per week from March 1 thru September 30th. Turf shall be mowed once every two weeks from October 1st thru February 28th. • NWRF RAPID INFILTRATION BASIN (RIB) (all areas in green and blue) - Turf areas shall be cut once every two weeks from March 1st thru September 30th and once every four weeks from October 1st thru February 28th. • SWRF (entire site) –Turf shall be cut once per week from March 1 thru September 30th. Turf shall be mowed once every two weeks from October 1st thru February 28th iii. Remove all grass clippings that are over-accumulating or discolored. iv. Mower blades shall be maintained to the degree of sharpness required to produce a clean cut. v. All tree limbs that fall in green spaces shall be collected and removed during site visits. vi. All vegetative and non-vegetative trash or debris shall be picked up and removed from the property. Such trash or debris shall include, but not be limited to, bottles, cans, food wrappers, food containers, newspapers, fallen limbs, etc. vii. Where there are a series of ditches, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and canals, Contractor shall cut all vegetation to a height of 3 to 4 inches. Care shall be given not to scalp vegetation along these ditches so as to maintain the structural integrity on the banks. Trim around culverts and all appurtenances. viii. All fence lines shall be maintained with minimum clearance of 6 feet between the fence and tree line and shall be mowed and maintained clear of debris and available for access. All trees and shrubs shall be maintained at least 8 feet from the fences. Any scrub palms, wax myrtles and other nuisance vegetation shall be clear of the fences. ix. Mowing around the filtering systems within 15 feet shall be performed with a bagging mower. Clippings or other debris shall not be permitted to enter the filtering system. The Contractor will be responsible for equipment and/or labor repair cost, if in the opinion of the Owner’s representative the Contractor/employees neglected to follow this requirement. x. Important Notice: During all seasons theContractor shall ensure that all turf areas are maintained in accordance with the contract specification. There will be no reduction in service as a result of wet areas. The Contractor shall provide the equipment and manpower to satisfy this requirement. xi. Once per month, all storm water gratings shall be inspected. All grass clippings or debris blocking the proper function of the storm drain shall be removed.
