Turf Mowing i. Mowing height for St. Augustine or Bahia turf shall be at 3 inches and shall not be permitted to grow to more than 4 inches.

iii. Remove all grass clippings that are over-accumulating or discolored.
iv. Mower blades shall be maintained to the degree of sharpness required to produce a clean cut.
v. All tree limbs that fall in green spaces shall be collected and removed during site visits.
vi. All vegetative and non-vegetative trash or debris shall be picked up and removed from the property. Such trash or debris shall include, but not be limited to, bottles, cans, food wrappers, food containers, newspapers, fallen limbs, etc.
vii. Where there are a series of ditches, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and canals, Contractor shall cut all vegetation to a height of 3 to 4 inches. Care shall be given not to scalp vegetation along these ditches so as to maintain the structural integrity on the banks. Trim around culverts and all appurtenances.

Turf Mowing. (1) The existing turf areas shall be mowed on a regular basis.
(2) The cutting height shall be adjusted so as to retard weak growth and help build healthy turn top and root.
(3) Waterfront areas will be mowed to the water’s edge. Weed eaters will be used to mow as far beyond the water’s edge as they will reach.
(4) Retention areas and other areas too wet for proper mowing will be mowed when the ground is firm enough to allow for normal mowing procedures.
(5) Bagging and/or raking shall be done when excessive grass clippings are present.
Turf Mowing. 1) Lawns shall be mowed at the appropriate height to keep a neat appearance. Considering the topography, the Contractor is required to use the proper mowing equipment to provide a high-quality cut and minimize the occurrence of unnecessary scalping due to uneven terrain.
2) Excessive clippings are to be collected and removed from the job site at the end of each visit. Clippings are not to be left overnight for removal the following day. The use of bagging attachments is recommended but not required.
3) Permanent fixtures in the turf areas are to be trimmed with weed-eaters to avoid unsightly growth at the base. Care is always to be taken when operating around fixtures to prevent damage to them.
4) Mowing (Warm Season Bermuda grass): During the warm weather growing season, Bermuda grass shall be maintained at a height of 1 ½” to 2”. All clippings and thatch shall be removed from the turf area. During the growing season, grass shall be cut weekly or as weather conditions dictate.
5) Contractor will keep all mower blades sharp and in good condition at all times during mowing. The grass blades shall be cut sharply and cleanly. Turf shall be cut so that no ridges remain in the finished cut. The direction of mowing shall be alternated to minimize ruts and matting.
Turf Mowing. 4.1.1. All turf will be mowed with professional quality mulching mower equipment. Bagging and removing clippings will be required only when excessive leaf debris is present, turf is too long to mulch, or when moisture conditions are too high to allow effective mulching without substantial clumping of turf debris.
4.1.2. Prior to each mowing, remove all litter and debris from lawn areas. Turf areas shall be mowed per the schedule below and maintained at a height of no less than 2 inches and no more than 3 inches. Coordinate mowing schedules with City. Alternate mowing direction where feasible every mowing. Maintain a uniform lawn height free from scalping.
4.1.3. Fescue areas shall be mowed once in June and September at a height of 3 inches.
4.1.4. Mower wheels and blade decks are not permitted to encroach into tree ▇▇▇▇▇.
4.1.5. Contractor is responsible for any damages incurred as a result of mower damage to trees and shrubs and must repair or replace any such damage at no cost to the City. Properly maintain tree ▇▇▇▇▇ to minimize such damage.
4.1.6. Clippings will be swept or blown from hardscapes after each mowing.

Turf Mowing. Mowing shall be done weekly from April through October, and every other week from November through March. Turf shall be maintained at a minimum height of two inches (2”) during warm season, and one and a half inches (1.5”) during cool season. Mowing shall occur on the same day each week. All mowing missed due to inclement weather or City events shall be rescheduled and completed within two (2) workdays. If inclement weather persists in excess of two consecutive days in any given week, the City Representative will determine an alternative mowing schedule for that week. Clippings shall not be captured and removed from lawn unless they are unsightly or have the potential to run off onto adjacent ground. After mowing is completed, all adjacent hardscape areas are to be cleaned immediately. Mowing equipment shall be operated at a reduced speed in order to ensure the safety of patrons utilizing public facilities. Operating speed shall never exceed ten (10) miles per hour.
