Tuition for Classes to Obtain Certification. 2 The Hospital will reimburse nurses for up to a total of $500 ($300 for part-time nurses) 3 for (a) the cost of the tuition or registration fees necessary to take classes to obtain 4 one of the certifications listed in paragraph 1.b above; or (2) expenses incurred related 5 to courses or exams necessary to obtain certification (such as travel or exam fees). A 6 nurse will be entitled to such reimbursement only for a certification that is relevant to 7 the position in which the nurse spends the majority of his or her work hours.

2 A. Call in and Stand-by pay.
3 1. Nurses on stand-by call will be paid a differential of $5.00 per hour. 4 Ten percent of all scheduled stand-by call hours will be counted as 5 hours worked for purposes of accruing benefits, seniority, and step 6 increases.
8 2. The Hospital will pay a regular full-time, part-time, or short-hour nurse 9 a differential of $11 per hour for all “stand-by call, low-census open 10 shifts”.

Any nurse on stand-by call who is called in to work will be paid time 13 and one-half the nurse's regular hourly rate for all hours worked when 14 called in to work, regardless of the number of hours worked during the 15 nurse's regular shift. A nurse will be paid for a minimum of two hours 16 under this section when called in, regardless of the number of hours 17 worked.
19 4. The Hospital will make good faith reasonable efforts to schedule 20 assigned call time equitably. (Per diem nurse stand-by call is 21 described in Article 1.09.)
