Transportation and scheduling assistance. Contract: The agreement executed between the HMO and the Department to accomplish the duties and functions, in accordance with the rules and arrangements specified in this document. Contract Services: Services that the HMO is required to provide under this Contract. Contractor: An HMO awarded a contract resulting from the HMO certification process to provide capitated managed care in accordance with this Contract. Coordination of Benefits (COB): Industry term applied to agreements among payers to assign liability and to perform the end-to-end payment reconciliation process. This term applies mostly to the electronic data interchanges associated with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) transactions.
