Common use of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Executive Order 11063 Clause in Contracts

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Executive Order 11063. The Owner shall comply with all requirements imposed by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. 2000d. et seq.; the HUD Regulations issued thereunder, 24 CFR, Subtitle A, Part 1; the HUD requirements pursuant to these regulations; and Executive Order 11063 and any regulations and requirements issued thereunder, to the end that, in accordance with that Act, Executive Order 11063, and the regulations and requirements of HUD, no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, creed, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, the Rental Assistance Payments Program, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination. This provision is included pursuant to the regulations of HUD, 24 CFR, Subtitle A, Part 1 issued under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, HUD regulations issued pursuant to Executive Order 11063 and the HUD requirements pursuant to the regulations. The obligation of the Owner to comply therewith inures to the benefit of the United States of America, HUD, any of which shall be entitled to invoke any remedies available by law to redress any breach or to compel compliance by the Owner.
