TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT OR LAYOFF - LAYOFFS AND SEVERANCE PAY. 21.01 Layoffs shall occur only at 12:00 noon and normal quitting time. Each employee shall receive one (1) hours notice of layoff or one (1) hours pay in lieu of such notice at his regular rate of pay. Upon receiving notice of layoff an employee has the option to leave the site as soon as he has picked up and/or returned his tools and equipment, and if the employee does so leave the site he shall be entitled to be paid until 12:00 Noon or 4:30 p.m. (whichever is applicable).
