Tenure Status. a . A unit member who is on tenure at the time he/ she is granted leave because of personal illness or illness in his/her immediate family shall remain on tenure . b . A unit member who has completed two con- secutive years of successful experience with the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Public Schools on a Regular Contract and has been recommended for tenure at the time leave is granted shall go on tenure at the time he/she returns from leave and is reassigned . c . A unit member who has a Regular Contract but is not on tenure, by entering into a written con- tractual agreement before being granted leave, shall waive his/her rights to have this period of leave considered as probationary toward tenure . On returning from leave, the unit member shall retain the same probationary status as that held at the time this leave was granted .
