Common use of Temporary Assignment to Higher Position Clause in Contracts

Temporary Assignment to Higher Position. Employees covered by this Agreement who are required to assume, temporarily, the duties and responsibilities of a higher paid position, will be paid the minimum pay for such a position or their regular rate of pay, whichever is more, providing that such temporary assignment continues for three consecutive work shifts during the calendar year.
