Common use of Target rate Clause in Contracts

Target rate. If the exchange rate specified in the Rate Order (“Target Rate”) does not become sustainable and purchasable during the Effective Period, the Rate Order will automatically expire at the end of the Effective Period. The Target Rate must be traded in the market with volume sufficient to sustain that rate level for a commercially reasonable timeframe. Unless otherwise stated by AFEX, Orders will remain in force until 11:59 p.m. AFEX Local Time on the last day of the Effective Period.
