Common use of Surviving Spouse Clause in Contracts

Surviving Spouse. If the spouse is legally married to the retiree from the time of retirement until the time of death, the surviving spouse may remain as a member of the District medical health plan by reimbursing the District quarterly, in advance, for the full cost of such benefit. Such benefit ceases upon remarriage.
