Common use of Survey Control Clause in Contracts

Survey Control. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract, the Design-Builder will provide engineering surveys and establish those survey control points necessary to lay out the Work. The Design- Builder must: (1) lay out the Work, unless otherwise specified in this Contract, (2) protect and preserve the established survey control points, and (3) make no change or relocation of the survey control points without the prior written approval of the City. The Design-Builder must report to the City whenever any survey control point is lost, destroyed, or requires relocation. At no additional cost to the City, the Design-Builder shall be responsible for the accurate replacement or relocation of survey control points lost or destroyed without City approval. Such replacement must be by a professional land surveyor licensed by the State of Oregon.

Survey Control. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract, the City will only provide the Mapping Control Survey and Aerial Mapping by GeoTerra dated June, 2017. The Design-Builder will provide engineering surveys and establish those survey control points necessary to lay out the Work. The Design- Builder must: (1) perform any required survey services necessary to accurately design and construct the project, (2) lay out the Work, unless otherwise specified in this Contract, (23) protect and preserve the established survey control points, property monuments, and government corners and (34) make no change or relocation of the survey control points without the prior written approval of the City. The Design-Builder must report to the City whenever any survey control point is lost, destroyed, or requires relocation. At no additional cost to the City, the Design-Builder shall be responsible for the accurate replacement or relocation of survey control points points, property monuments, and government corners lost or destroyed without City approvaldestroyed. Such replacement must be by a professional land surveyor licensed by the State of Oregon.
