Common use of Summative Evaluation Clause in Contracts

Summative Evaluation. The formal process that details the teacher’s current performance, strengths and weaknesses, at a point in time near the end of the school year. It is a snapshot in time that recognizes the cumulative growth that has taken place over the year and gives direction for future growth. The process must allow sufficient time for the post evaluation conference and the teacher’s response to the written evaluation.
