Substance Abuse Benefit. 8.2.7.2.1 Substance Abuse and Dependency Treatment Services The requirements in this subsection apply to STAR+PLUS MCOs in all Service Areas and to STAR MCOs in all Service Areas except the Dallas Service Area. Members in the Dallas Service Area receive Behavioral Health Services through the NorthSTAR Program. Substance use disorder includes substance abuse and dependence as defined by the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
