Common use of STUDENT SELECTION Clause in Contracts

STUDENT SELECTION. The Admissions Office at Jamestown Community College, in consultation with appropriate faculty, will be responsible for the selection of candidates for admission to this Program. In general, applicants will be expected to present strong records of academic achievement in high school or equivalent indicators, including four years of English, three years of social studies, and mathematics, and at least two years of study in science. Jamestown Community College will designate appropriate prerequisites for matriculation in any of the curricula included in this Program. Students applying to the Program cannot have completed more than 30 credit hours in the Jamestown Community College parallel academic major at the time of their Program application. With the exception of courses taken while still in high school, students cannot be considered for the Program if they have taken courses at any college other than Jamestown Community College. Applicants selected for the Program will receive both a letter of admission from the Admissions Office at Jamestown Community College and a letter of admission from the Assistant Director of Admissions at University at Buffalo. These letters establish eligibility to matriculate in a parallel baccalaureate major upon completion of the prescribed associate degree requirements at Jamestown Community College. Students selected for the Program will be advised in the letter of admission from University at Buffalo of any special conditions, such as GPA requirement, which may affect their eligibility to continue studies at the University.
