Strategic Sourcing. ‌ OMB defines Strategic Sourcing as a collaborative and structured process of analyzing an organization’s spend and using the information to make business decisions about acquiring commodities and services more efficiently and effectively. The Government may periodically conduct Strategic Sourcing competitions to secure tiered pricing based on volume purchases. The Government strategy will be to implement an approach that will provide federal agencies a subset of IT commodities and solutions. The following is a sample of some of the commodities that could be included:
