Stand-by Time. Stand-by time is defined as time that an employee is assigned, in writing and in advance, to be ready to work outside their normal work hours Schedule and Response. While on stand-by time, the employee must be ready and able to report to work within forty-five (45) minutes if so notified by phone, pagers, or other electronic device provided by the City. Employees on stand-by shall be subject to the call out provisions of this Article.

Stand-by Time. All standby time shall be considered as regular hours worked and shall be compensated on a straight time or overtime basis as are other hours worked under this Agreement.
Stand-by Time. 5.1 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Contract, and regardless of whether related to any warranty, under all circumstances CUSTOMER shall bear the cost of: (a) all offshore and overseas transportation expenses related to the provision of Services or Products, and (b) all Stand-By time incurred by GDS or its contractor personnel that is caused by or attributed to CUSTOMER, including without limitation, where caused by delays to or untimely cancellation of service calls.
Stand-by Time. Stand-by time is that period of time other than the employee’s regularly scheduled working hours, when an employee at the direction of the department head is on standby duty, is required to remain in the immediate area and is available to receive and respond to calls for emergency service. Mandatory scheduled standby period for weekends and Holidays shall be at the City’s discretion. The request for stand-by will be posted for sign-up 30 calendar days, or as soon as practical thereafter, prior to the start of stand-by. The stand-by list will be locked- in 3 weeks prior to the scheduled standby period.
Stand-by Time. Employees shall remain on duty if there is less than forty-five (45) minutes between segments of their daily run/routes.
Stand-by Time. An employee who is notified by the Chief of Police that he/she is assigned on “stand-by” during his/her scheduled off duty hours shall be paid at the overtime compensation rate for all periods said employee is required to “stand-by”.
Stand-by Time. The District may request that a unit member be on stand-by status. Any unit member who agrees to be on stand-by status shall be paid at the federal minimum wage while on stand-by. Any such unit member on stand-by shall come in to work when requested by the District. Compensation for the time worked after being called in shall be pursuant to Section 12.4.8 above.

Stand-by Time. 3.10.4.1. Bus drivers on special trips, including but not limited to athletic events, field trips, and curricular trips who are required to remain on stand-by for the duration of the event for which the special trip is made, shall be paid for all stand-by hours at their regular rate of pay. Whenever any combination of driving time and stand-by hours exceeds eight (8) hours in any workday as defined in Section 3.2, all excess hours shall be compensated at the appropriate overtime rate based on the employee's regular rate of pay.
Stand-by Time. Stand-by time is a situation where a non-exempt Employee is required to remain at the work site, ready for assignment. Stand-by time shall be credited as time worked.
Stand-by Time. Due to staff limitations, it may be necessary for a Department Head/Division Head to schedule employees to be on a telephone stand-by alert to handle overtime work which may arise during other than normal working hours. Employees will be compensated for stand-by time at the rate of one and one half (1 ½) hour’s pay at the regular hourly rate for each eight (8) hour period of stand- by time. (Employees on stand-by called to perform overtime work will be compensated additionally for such overtime work in accordance with subsection (d) of this subsection.) Overtime and stand-by time pay will be added to the payroll for the period during which the work is performed.
