Common use of STAFF SALARIES Clause in Contracts

STAFF SALARIES. The Company agrees that News Writers shall be paid not less than the following staff salaries: Months of Employment by Company as News Salary Per Week Rates in effect Effective Effective Writer as of 2/4/19 2/3/20 2/1/21 First Year $ 873.00 $ 891.00 $ 908.00 Third six months $1,477.00 $1,506.00 $1,537.00 Fourth six months $1,574.00 $1,605.00 $1,637.00 Two years or more $1,818.00 $1,854.00 $1,891.00 Any News Writer who as of February 1, 1999 was receiving a staff salary in excess of the then applicable minimum, but not more than Seventy-Five ($75) Dollars in excess of such minimum, shall receive the same dollar amount of overscale payment under this Agreement. If a Staff Employee is hired in at a base salary that corresponds to an escalator step above the in-hiring step, he/she shall continue to progress in the escalator as if he/she had the length of employment corresponding to such salary. Such crediting shall be for purposes of determining rate of pay only.
