Where the relevant schedule of this Order specifies that the wages for a trainee shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Training Wage Award - State 2003, the base hourly rate of pay for school-based trainees shall be as follows, regardless of the Wage Level for the traineeship. A student is deemed to be in Year 10, Year 11, Year 12 from 1 January of each year. Future adjustments to the base hourly rates specified in this clause shall be based on the following provisions of the Training Wage Award - State 2003, as amended. Wages for Year 10 and 11 students are calculated on the rate applicable to a trainee less than 1 year out of Year 10. Wages for Year 12 students are calculated on the rate applicable to a trainee less than 1 year out of Year 11. Step 1: Divide weekly wage by 30.4. Step 2: Round calculation to nearest 10 cents.
