SPECIAL INCREASES. TEMPORARY A Department Head may recommend a temporary, exceptional service award for an employee in order to recognize exceptional service. A one- or two-step increase may be authorized for periods of two, four, or six pay periods.

SPECIAL INCREASES. TEMPORARY A Department Head may recommend a temporary, exceptional service award for an employee in order to recognize exceptional service. Increases for exceptional service shall be paid only on recommendation of the Department Head supported by a convincing showing in writing of exceptional service as related to specific criteria to be recommended by each department applicable to its own work and approved by the Personnel Director.
