Special Duties a) A Musician engaged as Principal or Sub Principal shall, if required by the Company on a temporary basis, play any Section Leader, Principal or Sub Principal part in his/her instrumental group. A musician engaged as a Tutti player shall, if required, play any Sub Principal or Principal part in his/her instrumental group. However, a tutti player may be asked to play section leader for chamber music or small ensembles upon consultation and by mutual consent with the Musician.

Special Duties. Unit members who apply for special duty assignments, summer school positions or other extra duty positions shall be given first consideration for those positions. In the event that a non-unit member is hired for one of these positions the unit member shall, upon written request, be given the reasons, in writing, for the denial.

Special Duties. Upon discovery of a Precipitating condition, which may give rise to a claim under this agreement, You must take all reasonable steps within Your power to minimize the extent of Loss. You must preserve and protect any undamaged or defective parts of Covered Property and make them available for inspection by Us or any of Our representatives. This obligation does not replace or supersede any other obligations under this agreement.
Special Duties. 15.1. Any member, when off duty, and only with the approval of the Chief of Police, may perform such special duties as a Police Officer at any social, sports, community, or private activity or event, or any other type of special duty not normally provided by the Police Service. Payment for such special duties shall be paid directly to the City, who in turn shall pay the said amount to the member who performs the service, through regular payroll channels. Any member working on a general or declared holiday shall be paid at that day's straight-time rate of pay for any overtime hours rather than double time (2X).
