Common use of Social development Clause in Contracts

Social development. 13.23.1 Each Maa-nulth First Nation Government may make laws in respect of social development, including family development services, provided by that Maa-nulth First Nation Government or its Maa-nulth First Nation Public Institution on the Maa-nulth First Nation Lands of the applicable Maa-nulth First Nation. 13.23.2 Federal Law or Provincial Law prevails to the extent of a Conflict with Maa-nulth First Nation Law under 13.23.1. 13.23.3 If a Maa-nulth First Nation Government makes laws under 13.23.1, at the request of the applicable Maa-nulth First Nation, Canada or British Columbia, the applicable Maa-nulth First Nation, Canada and British Columbia will negotiate and attempt to reach agreement in respect of exchange of information with regard to avoidance of double payments, and related matters.
