Smoke Detectors and fireplace. Tenant agrees to check all the smoke detectors monthly. If one or more is found not to be functioning properly, Tenant agrees to contact Landlord in writing to request a repair. Landlord will provide an annual chimney inspection if requested by Tenant. If necessary, Landlord will also pay for any required chimney sweeping or maintenance.
