Single Species Clause Samples
The Single Species clause restricts the scope of an agreement or obligation to only one specified species, rather than covering multiple species. In practice, this means that any rights, responsibilities, or transactions outlined in the contract apply exclusively to the named species, such as a particular type of fish, plant, or animal. This clause is commonly used in contexts like agricultural supply contracts or conservation agreements to ensure clarity and prevent misunderstandings about which species are included, thereby reducing the risk of disputes over coverage.

Single Species. Images that include the precise mapped locations or precise model outputs for a single species can be shared externally at a fixed scale of 1:5,000,000 or coarser scale, and if the scientific and common names, and other identifying information (e.g., species type) for the species, are excluded from the image it can be shared externally at any scale. Images of maps that display presence/absence of individual species at the scales of U.S. County, 8-digit Hydrologic Units, or any type of grid cell units larger than or equal to a 343 square mile area can be shared externally.
