Common use of Sickness Allowance Clause in Contracts

Sickness Allowance. Subject to satisfying conditions set out in local college sickness procedures, entitlement to sickness allowance will depend on length of service as follows: Less than 1 year 1 month/5 weeks 1 month/5 weeks 1 year but less than 2 years 2 months/9 weeks 2 months9/weeks 2 years but less than 3 years 4 months/18 weeks 4 months/18 weeks 3 years but less than 5 years 5 months/22 weeks 5 months/22 weeks 5 years or more 6 months/26 weeks 6 months/26 weeks Note * – colleges may choose to apply sickness allowance in months or weeks according to existing arrangements.
