Shift Overlap. For the purpose of transferring information by off-going shift personnel with on-coming shift personnel, the parties agree to a fifteen (15) minute shift overlap to be prior to the shift. It is understood that Article 10, Section 15 (b) and (c) do not apply to this overlap period. It is also understood that this shift overlap period will not be deemed an extended work schedule as defined in Article 13, Section 2. Payment for the fifteen (15) minute shift overlap period will be at double time. The Company has sole discretion as to which (if any) positions will participate in shift overlap. The Company may make additions or deletions to a list of those positions, or may establish the shift overlap at the end of the shift based on operational considerations. In the event such a change is made, the affected employees will be provided at least one (1) week’s advance notice and the Union will be provided at least two (2) week’s advance notice.
Shift Overlap. In recognition of time spent on shift overlap, Operators will be credited with an additional 16 hours per year in their Hour Bank.
Shift Overlap. .1 The company reserves the right to adjust shift start and finish time to accommodate shift overlap as required.
Shift Overlap. Any employee working past his regularly scheduled shift shall continue to be paid at his prevailing rate. If the employee has worked in excess of forty (40) hours for the week, he shall be compensated at time and one half for those hours.

It is understood that Article X, Section 12 (b) and (c) do not apply to this overlap period. It is also understood that this shift overlap period will not be deemed an extended work schedule as defined in Article XIII, Section 2. Payment for the 12-minute shift overlap period will be at double time. The shift overlap will occur in the Operations area. The Company may establish the shift overlap at the end of the shift based on operational considerations. In the event such a change is made, the affected employees will be provided at least one (1) week's advance notice and the Union will be provided at least two (2) week's advance notice. Shift overlap will become effective as soon as practicable but not to exceed ninety (90) days from the effective date of this Contract.
Shift Overlap. Where a single daily shift runs into overtime, a rest period of at least six (6) hours is required before the start of the next day’s shift. If this minimum rest period does not occur, the hours worked on the second day are treated as if there had been no rest period and the overtime rate continues from the end of the first day’s shift. Subsection (d) OCCUPIED PREMISES – Workers from any shop may be used outside of regular working hours at the rate of time and one-half the regular straight time rate of pay for installations in occupied industrial, commercial and residential buildings or structures after the original electrical installation in such building has been completed and the premises are in possession of and in use by the tenant or owner for whom the work is done from 7:00 AM Monday through 11:30 PM Saturday. Hours worked in excess of 12 hours, hours worked on holidays, Sundays, the day before New Year’s Day, the day after Thanksgiving and the day before Christmas, will be paid at double the regular straight time rate of pay. This includes the repairing, remodeling and renovation of existing electrical systems, equipment, appliance, lighting fixtures and lamps. Payment of Wages
Shift Overlap. To protect the continuity of operations an employee will remain on his or her job until relieved for a period of up to fifteen (15) minutes maximum. Normal overtime rates will prevail during this additional period. Employees working shift overlap will be paid 15 minutes for any time worked while waiting to be relieved. The late-arriving employee’s wages will be deducted accordingly.
Shift Overlap. For purposes of reviewing and coordinating the work in school buildings, the Director of Operations and Maintenance shall designate an employee on the second shift and the first shift to meet and, in such cases, the shift of the designated second shift employee shall be overlapped from five (5) to fifteen (15) minutes with the first shift. This provision shall apply to elementary buildings only. Other second shift employees shall commence their shift at the time designated by the Director of Operations and Maintenance.

When an employee is absent from work due to negotiations, he or she will not be penalized or charged as refusing hours on overtime schedule for his or her department. An employee transferred from one shift to another, will carry-over his or her existing overtime hours, to his or her new shift, should no other employees exist within his or her job classification on the new shift Weekend overtime will be filled on a voluntary basis by hours. Should the required overtime not be filled through this manner the remaining spots will be assigned by qualified employees through reverse seniority. Employees will be required to work such overtime so long as forty-eight (48) hours notice was provided and the overtime is consistent with the Employment Standards Act. Employees will be paid weekly on each Thursday.
Shift Overlap. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, Station- ary Engineers and Telephone Operators who relieve another shift employee, will be paid shift overlap in accordance with the present practice. The time allowed will be twenty (20) minutes.
