Common use of Shift Loading Clause in Contracts

Shift Loading. 39.1. Subject to the following subclauses, an employee will be paid a shift loading of 25% of the base rate of pay for any ordinary hours worked between 1615 hours and 0600 hours. 39.2. Unless a contrary provision appears elsewhere in this agreement an employee working on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday or working overtime during the above hours will not receive the shift loading.
