Shift handover. Employees who regularly work a continuous shift schedule will receive an additional 12 hours pay, payable on the last pay period of the year.
Shift handover. Employees undertaking the role of either a Leading Hand or Supervisor will be ready for work at least 30 minutes before their normal shift starting time to assist with planning and deployment for the shift. They must also stay for a minimum of 30 minutes after their shift to debrief staff on the outcomes of their shift and the status of their work area. Applicable overtime rates shall apply.

  • Shift Rotation Routine shift rotation is not an approach to staffing endorsed by the Employer. Except for emergency situations where it may be necessary to provide safe patient care, shift rotation will not be utilized without mutual consent. If such an occasion should ever occur, volunteers will be sought first. If no one volunteers, the Employer will rotate shifts on an inverse seniority basis until the staff vacancies are filled.
