Common use of SHIFT BONUS Clause in Contracts

SHIFT BONUS. (a) A shift bonus of $1.50 an hour will be added to the basic rates for employees working a shift starting between 12:00 Noon and 7:59 p.m., and between 4:00 a.m. and 5:59 a.m., effective upon ratification. (b) A shift bonus of $1.75 an hour will be added to the basic rates of pay for employees working a shift starting between 8:00 p.m., and 3:59 a.m., effective upon ratification. (c) Employees who work night shifts on the day of observance of the holidays specified in Article 11 shall receive the appropriate shift bonus provided in Subsections (a) and (b) of this Section.
