Common use of Service Increment Clause in Contracts

Service Increment. On the July 1 following the employee’s anniversary date, a regular employee will be advanced to the next higher step on the salary range assigned to his/her position classification until the top step of the range is reached. In order to earn a service increment, the employee must have served seventy-five percent of the required working days, i.e., one hundred ninety-five working days including holidays, paid sick leave, vacation, and other paid absences or leaves of the prior year.
