Selection by Seniority Sample Clauses

The 'Selection by Seniority' clause establishes that decisions regarding selection—such as layoffs, promotions, or shift assignments—are determined based on the length of service or tenure of employees. In practice, this means that employees with longer service records are given preference over those with less seniority when choices must be made among staff, such as during workforce reductions or when filling desirable positions. This clause ensures a transparent and objective method for making personnel decisions, reducing the potential for favoritism or disputes by relying on measurable employment history.
