Section 9.10. 41 In the event of layoff, employees so affected are to be placed on a reemployment list maintained by the 42 District according to seniority, with the most senior being called back to work first. Such employees 43 are to have priority over outside applicants and will be considered along with current employees in 44 filling an opening in the specific job category held immediately prior to layoff. Names shall remain on 45 the reemployment list for sixteen (16) months. Except in extraordinary cases, the District will give 47 weeks notice of their intention to resign.

After current employees have had an 43 opportunity to fill the open position, with the most senior being called back to work first. Such employees 43 are to have priority over outside applicants and position which remains will be considered along with current employees offered by seniority. Once a 44 position is offered, the laid off employee has seven (7) calendar days to accept the position before it is 45 offered to the next person laid off. Employees in 44 filling an opening in the specific job category held immediately prior to layoff. Names layoff status shall remain on 45 the reemployment re-employment list 46 for sixteen one (161) months. Except in extraordinary cases, the District will give 47 weeks notice of their intention to resignyear.
