Section 8.5.1 Sample Clauses

Section 8.5.1. 12 In the event an employee is subpoenaed to appear as a witness in court in a case relating to the 13 employee's school district job, or is named as a co-defendant with the District, such employee shall 14 receive a normal day's pay for each day of required presence in court; provided, however, that any 15 compensation received, except expenses, for such service shall be paid to the District. Such 16 repayment shall not exceed the employee's normal daily pay less bona fide expenses.
Section 8.5.1. 42 Except in cases of unexpected emergency, events shall not be changed (including but not 43 limited to start and end times, driving route, pick-up and drop-off locations, etc.) without prior 44 notice of at least five (5) working days.
Section 8.5.1. 45 The returning employee will not necessarily be assigned to the identical position occupied before 46 the leave of absence. However, provided a vacancy exists for which the employee is qualified, 47 the employee shall be reinstated to a position equivalent in duties and salary to that held at the 48 time the request for leave of absence was approved.
Section 8.5.1. 1. 26 Leaves of absences may not be granted for members to assume other employment.

  • Section 7.3 34 Each employee will be assigned to a regular shift with designated times of beginning and ending. The 35 first shift is defined as any work shift beginning between 5:00 A.M. and 11:29 A.M. The second shift 36 is defined as any work shift beginning between 11:30 A.M. and 9:59 P.M. The third shift is defined as 37 any work shift beginning between 10:00 P.M. and 4:59 A.M. This section (7.3.) does not include 38 Paraeducators and Child Nutrition personnel.

  • Section 6.2 34 The Association representatives may represent the Association and employees in meetings with officials 35 of the District to discuss appropriate matters of mutual interest. Employees must report to their supervisor 36 before these meetings, formal or informal, take place during the work day. They may receive and 37 investigate to conclusion complaints or grievances of employees on District time when necessary and 38 thereafter advise employees of rights and procedures outlined in this Agreement and applicable 39 regulations or directives for resolving the grievances or complaints. They may not, however, continue to 40 advise the employee on courses of action after the employee has indicated a desire not to pursue a 41 grievance. They may consult with the District on complaints without a grievance being made by an 42 individual employee. Association representatives will guard against the use of excessive time.

  • Section 4.5 7 The President of the Association and designated representatives may be provided time off without loss 8 of pay to a maximum of ten (10) days per year to attend local, regional or State meetings when the 9 purpose of those meetings is in the best interest of the District as determined by the District 10 administration.

  • Section 5.1 32 It is agreed and understood that matters appropriate for consultation and negotiation between the 33 District and the Association are the effects of hours, wages, grievance procedures, and general working 34 conditions of employees in the bargaining unit subject to this Agreement.
