Common use of Section 18(1) Order Clause in Contracts

Section 18(1) Order. Upon execution of this Agreement, Occupier shall, at Occupier's sole expense, apply to the Māori Land Court pursuant to section 18(1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 for an order determining that the House is the sole and exclusive property of Debtor. (However, for the avoidance of doubt, regardless of whether Occupier does, or does not, obtain such an order, that does not change the status, ownership or Security Interest in respect of the House as between the parties as set out in this Agreement.)
