Common use of Seasonal Work Clause in Contracts

Seasonal Work. to work on a seasonal basis to meet seasonal needs; Prior to hiring new temporary employees to perform seasonal work, the provisions of clause 23.01(a)(i) (Superior Duties) or Article 29 (Layoff and Recall) shall apply. If work continues to be available after these provisions are fulfilled, the position(s) will be posted on a bargaining unit wide basis. The City shall have the ability to advertise externally in conjunction with the internal posting process with the understanding that qualified Local 416 in- ternal applicant(s) shall have first claim to the work.
