Common use of SCOPE & PURPOSE Clause in Contracts

SCOPE & PURPOSE. 1.01 The purpose of this Agreement is: a) to provide orderly collective bargaining relations between the Employer and those employees covered by this Agreement with the Union; b) to secure prompt and fair disposition of grievances; c) to eliminate interruption of work and to promote, to the fullest extent possible, efficient and economical operation of the Employer's business; and d) to maintain fair wages, hours and working conditions for the said employees, as set out in this Agreement.
