SCOPE & PURPOSE. 1.01 The Scope and the Purpose of this Collective Agreement are to maintain an orderly employment relationship between the parties; to provide machinery for the prompt and equitable resolution of employment related complaints, grievances and disputes; to promote co-operation and understanding between the Employer and members of the bargaining unit; and to recognize the mutual value of joint discussions and negotiations in matters pertaining to the improvement of working conditions, scale of wages, employee benefits and other employment-related matters.

SCOPE & PURPOSE. The Subsidiaries acknowledge that we serve patients who may or may not currently have insurance coverage and who do not qualify for their charity policy but remain unable to pay the full cost of their medical care. The purpose of this policy is to identify circumstances in which the Subsidiaries may assist patients with meeting their financial obligations in a fair and equitable manner. We realize that out-of-pocket expenses continue to increase and we want to ensure a fair and consistent process to accommodate our patient’s financial needs. We are committed to establishing the appropriate guidelines and procedures for communicating our assistance guidelines to our patients, their families and our staff. Our goal is to educate our staff so they can better assist patients who are struggling to pay their bills.
SCOPE & PURPOSE. The purpose of this Agreement is to provide through collective bargaining for fair and equitable relations between the Employer and the employees to secure an amicable and fair disposition of grievance and permit efficient operation of the Employer’s business and protection of the interests of the public. It is the intent of the Employer and the Unions to achieve and to sustain maximum productivity per employee during the term of this Agreement. Although the primary objective of this agreement pertains to the resolution and improvement of non- academic matters, the Employer recognizes all members of CUPE 3906 - Unit 2 as valuable members of the McMaster University teaching community. The parties acknowledge their joint responsibility to encourage teaching excellence and that these acknowledgements include the recognition of the contributions of Sessional Faculty and Sessional Music Faculty to McMaster University.
SCOPE & PURPOSE. The Parties mutually acknowledge and agree that Employee has voluntarily elected to resign from her employment with Company effective April 13, 2012 as indicated in her letter of resignation attached to this Agreement as Exhibit A. Under the Existing Agreement, Former Permittee is obligated to construct stormwater improvements to control stormwater runoff and pollution from the Windermere Ridge Townhomes development, which property is described in Exhibit A of “Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for Windermere Ridge Townhomes” recorded in Durham County Register of Deeds BK 4662, PG 739-773 (the “Covenants”) and identified as “Phase One and Two” on Plat Book 164, pages 220 and 223, Durham County Registry as partially revised per that Plat of Recombination recorded in Plat Book 180, Page 332 and comprising approximately 6.55 acres (hereinafter referred to as “Windermere Ridge Property”). The Existing Agreement required that the stormwater improvements be constructed and located on a property adjacent to the Windermere Ridge Property; however, the parties agree that the design and location of such stormwater improvements should be modified now that the Association has requested and received approval of an amended site plan from the City for the Windermere Ridge Townhomes development. Accordingly, the revised location of the stormwater improvements (“Facility/ies”) shall be in the southwest portion of the Windermere Ridge Property, southwest of Windermere Drive. The Association consents to and accepts the construction of the Facility/ies on the Windermere Ridge Property. The Association agrees that its obligations under this Agreement shall include the obligations and terms of the Existing Agreement, except as modified by this Agreement, and that the obligations of this Agreement shall apply to the Facility/ies to be constructed on the Windermere Ridge Property instead of the property referenced in the Existing Agreement. Upon approval by the City of the completion of construction of the Facility/ies, the Association shall be responsible for the perpetual maintenance, annual inspection, repair, reporting to the City, and reconstruction of the Facility/ies, if necessary. The obligations of the Former Permittee under the Existing Agreement shall terminate upon approval by the City of the completion of construction of the Facility/ies and the execution of this Agreement by all Parties. SCOPE & PURPOSE. Permittee owns and is developing real property (the “Property”) that, upon completion of development, will contain one or more constructed stormwater improvements (the "Facility/ies") to control stormwater runoff and pollution from the Property. After construction, Permittee will transfer portions of the Property, including the Facility/ies, to the Association, which will be responsible for perpetual maintenance, annual inspection, repair, reporting to the City, and reconstruction of the Facility/ies. This Agreement sets forth Permittee’s obligations to construct the Facility/ies in accordance with the obligations of this Agreement and other City Requirements, inspect and certify the Facility/ies, pay certain monies toward the replacement of the Facility/ies, and establish the Association and its obligations, through legally binding covenants. This Agreement also sets forth the responsibilities of the Association with regard to the Facility/ies. This Agreement is appurtenant to and runs with the Property, described in Section 1(b) below. The purpose of this Agreement is to ensure construction of the Facility/ies per City Requirements, to ensure the perpetual inspection, maintenance, repair, and reconstruction of the Facility/ies by Lot Owners within the Property, and to allow the City in its discretion to enforce these requirements, if necessary, for the benefit of the Lot Owners collectively, and the public at large.
