Common use of Scope and Classification Clause in Contracts

Scope and Classification. [11] The rules relating to acting management assignments have been clarified. [12] The Company commits that no lay-off of employees within the bargaining unit will occur as a direct result of subcontracting any tasks covered under the agreement. [13] It is recognized that flights operated by Air Canada pilots (excluding flights operated by Air Canada Jazz pilots) that are represented by the Air Canada Pilot Association, will be scheduled by the employees within this bargaining unit in accordance with the collective agreement, unless otherwise mutually agreed. [14] The two (2) temporary employees currently working in the Training Scheduler classification will become permanent employees upon ratification. However these two (2) employees will be excluded from the two (2) types of Voluntary Separation Packages outlined in this Agreement. [15] The two (2) Training Schedulers currently on temporary assignments in the Crew Scheduler classification will become permanent Crew Schedulers upon ratification.
