School Events. Bargaining unit members may be permitted to attend school events, except where prohibited by law, or where attendance conflicts with their assigned work schedule, and will be given staff passes allowing admittance.
School Events. Bargaining unit members shall be admitted to all events sponsored by and held at Northwestern Schools without charge excluding fundraising events. A bargaining unit member will receive a non-transferable pass for that purpose and, upon acceptance, agree to intervene at such activities, as a District employee, if necessary to maintain order and discipline.

School Events. Employees working school events outside of regular work hours shall be paid their hourly rate or overtime rate, if applicable. Salaried bargaining unit employees are expected to attend no more than three (3) EPIC school events outside their regular workday with no additional pay. Parent-teacher conferences are not considered a School Event subject to this provision. When required to attend additional events, Employees working school events outside of regular work hours shall be paid their hourly rate for hourly employees and non-instructional rate for teachers, if applicable.
School Events. All bargaining unit members, upon request to the Athletic Director shall be provided without cost a ticket to any Board-sponsored or extracurricular event for which admission is charged except events which are sponsored for the sole purpose of fundraising. Such ticket may be used only by the employee or a member of the employee’s immediate family.
School Events. The following duties will be a part of the work year for all members of the bargaining unit and, with the exception of Graduation day, will be paid as overtime if such work is in excess of the forty (40) hour threshold set forth in Article IX: •Home football games •Homecoming Dance •Prom •Graduation day Graduation day will be paid as overtime.
School Events. Each school year, Bargaining Unit Members shall attend Back- to-School Night and Parent-Teacher-Conferences. Additionally, Bargaining Unit Members are required to attend four important school events that take place during non-work hours: Convocation, Commencement, Staff Retreats and one additional school event that will take place during non-work hours. The number of the school events that require attendance shall not exceed four. Urban Prep will provide Bargaining Unit Members with a list of the dates and times of Back-to-School Night and Parent-Teacher Conferences before the first day of student attendance and will notify Bargaining Unit Members of the dates and times of other important school events as soon as practicable. In the event that the date, time or location of any school event changes, Urban Prep will notify Bargaining Unit Members of such changes as soon as practicable. If a Bargaining Unit Member has an unavoidable obligation or an unforeseeable and emergency situation that would prevent attendance at a scheduled event his /her attendance shall be excused, provided that the Bargaining Unit Member has provided as much notice as possible under the circumstances.
School Events. All unit members will be admitted free of charge to all District school sponsored events.
School Events. Instructional Staff shall participate in organizing and attending events such as Family Literacy Night, Graduation, Open Houses, Art/Music/Drama Presentations, Sporting events, etc. The employer may designate up to four (4) announced events during the year as required for Instructional Staff attendance, and attendance for these events may be required until up to 6:30 pm. If a member of the Leadership Team is not present for events, Instructional Staff shall, to the best of their ability and to the extent of their provided training, strive to address any safety, health concerns, or emergencies, as they arise. Notwithstanding the foregoing, all liability shall rest with the Employer.
School Events. Each location will have events throughout the year. There will be sign-up sent throughout the year to ask for parent help with putting on the different events. This will be optional volunteer work. YEARBOOK Our teachers take photos during class time throughout the year for our Facebook groups and for our yearbook. If you DO NOT want your student’s photo published as directory information, then please fill out the notice of directory information. A yearbook will be available for purchase in the spring of 2017 for the Ogden Distance Program. Information will be posted in the Facebook groups and on the website. They are ordered directly from the publisher and codes and information will be provided in the spring. FIELD TRIPS Signups for field trips can be found on our Facebook groups and on our website. Field trip permission forms need to be signed BEFORE attending (once per year per child.) These forms can be found at the end of this handbook, on the website or through your Educational Specialist. Please sign and return to your E.S. Most field trips are planned with an educational purpose in mind. It is our hope that parents will help facilitate the learning experience. While on a field trip, the parents are looked at as “chaperones” for the school and not just as a parent. This is how we are able to access such wonderful discounts within our community. As a chaperone, your participation is very important. In order to make a field trip educational, fun and a safe learning experience, we have outlined a list of rules.
