Scheduling/Shift Bidding. The City shall establish and post the available regular shifts for bid by bargaining unit members. Said schedule shall indicate the schedule assigned for any special assignments, e.g., investigator, School Resource Officer, etc. Each year non- probationary employees not on special assignment shall select in order of seniority within each classification (i.e., classification seniority) an available shift that shall include the regular hours worked and days off. The initial Shift Bidding shall take place within thirty (30) days after the execution of this agreement. Thereafter shift bidding shall take place during the month of November for implementation of the schedule the first full pay period the following January. Probationary employees are subject to shift assignment by the Chief.
