SCERS. Upon termination of any employee in SCERS eligible to accumulate sick leave credits for reasons of retirement, resignation, and/or layoff after service for a period of not less than two (2) years, or death, such employee (or those entitled by law to the possession of the estate of a deceased employee) shall receive payment for thirty-three and one- third percent (33-1/3%) of the total sick leave credits accumulated (to the nearest full day) by the employee on the date of such retirement, resignation, layoff, or death. No employee whose services are terminated by reason of discharge for cause, or by reason of resignation or layoff prior to the completion of two (2) years of service, shall be eligible for payment of any portion of accumulated sick leave credits.

SCERS. Those employees that are members of the Sacramento County Employees Retirement system (SCERS) shall be given an open election period of sixty (60) days to become members of the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). See PERS Attachment B. Should other members of the District SCERS Safety retirement plan receive a benefit change it will be made available to SCERS Safety members of this bargaining union. Should the Sacramento County Retirement System offer a 3% @ 50 benefit, the District and the Union agree to meet and confer regarding this issue.

A regular dealer engages in, as its principal business and in its own name, the purchase and sale or lease of the products in question. A regular dealer in such bulk items as steel, cement, gravel, stone, and petroleum products need not keep such products in stock, if it owns and operates distribution equipment for the products. Brokers and packagers are not regarded as manufacturers or regular dealers within the meaning of this section. North Carolina Unified Certification Program (NCUCP) - A program that provides comprehensive services and information to applicants for DBE certification, such that an applicant is required to apply only once for a DBE certification that will be honored by all recipients of USDOT funds in the state and not limited to the Department of Transportation only.
