Common use of Safe Conduct Clause in Contracts

Safe Conduct. 1. A person present in the Requesting State pursuant to a request seeking that person's attendance shall not be detained, prosecuted, or subjected to any other restriction of personal liberty in the Requesting State in respect of offences or convictions that preceded that person's departure from the Requested State. That person shall not, without his consent, be required to give evidence in any proceedings or to assist in any investigations other than the proceedings and investigations to which the request relates.
