Run Selection. A general selection of full-time runs and positions shall take place the first week of the months of September, December, March, and June. General assignments may be held at other times whenever, in the judgment of the City, changes in schedules or runs require them; changes in schedules or runs affect the hours of work and compensation of Operators to their disadvantage; or, a regularly assigned run is available for reassignment by reason of resignation, death, or other cause. The City will not hold a new quarterly general selection for Employees returning from leave unless written notice of a return to work date is provided to the Transit Director at least one week prior to the run selection. Selection of days off and runs shall be according to length of continuous service as a full-time permanent Operator. When selections are made, all positions on the spareboard must be filled.
Run Selection. The Union will administer all general run bids. Union officials working the bid are paid by PSTA not to exceed eight (8) hours of pay in any day, for each Union official. Operators will be given a specific date and time to make their individual selection to the extent possible at all General Run Bids insofar as Seniority will permit. Under no circumstances will more than ten (:10) minutes be allowed to make a bid. Operators will be expected to be familiar with the scheduled date and time they are to submit their personal bid. Operators shall be responsible for either reporting in person to bid when it is their time to bid, or to leave a bid slip listing their choices of runs or Extra Board assignments with the Dispatch Office prior to departing the Garage on their run or after completion of their assignment(s) for the day. Operators shall leave a minimum of five (5) choices. Failure to report for the purpose of bidding or failure to leave a bid slip will result in an operator being passed so the next operator scheduled to bid may do so when it becomes his time to bid. Operators who are passed shall have until the next operator's posted time to bid before being passed. Nothing in this Section shall preclude an operator from changing his choice of selections at any time prior to the time he is scheduled to bid. Bid changes may be transmitted by telephone or radio.
Run Selection. SECTION 1. The selection of runs, the selection of days off, and the selection of vacations as posted shall be made by the operators according to their seniority, which is the length of their continuous service as the operators of former companies and of Transit Management of Wilmington, as shown on the seniority roster. Runs and days off will be selected three times each year and more often if necessary. One selection to become effective the first Sunday in January, one selection to become effective the first Sunday in May and one selection to become effective the first Sunday in September. When a change to college shuttle service falls within thirty (30) days of the new bid the start of bid will coincide with the Closest Sunday to the change of school. Runs will be posted for bid 30 days prior to effective date of new run assignment. Bidding will begin one week after posting. Twenty percent of the driver force will be required to bid on the first day of the bid week, Monday, half in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. Bidding will proceed in this form the remaining days through Friday. Operators may bid in person, by phone, or by leaving choices with the company or their union representative. Any operator not bidding in their assigned slot will be passed. The company will post bid sheets with time and date to bid. In emergency situations, the company and the union will meet to discuss the bidding process. If the parties cannot reach an agreement, the Company will determine the process. SECTION 2. When a regular run becomes permanently vacant within 30 days of a Scheduled bid of runs, the vacancy will be filled by an extra operator. If the vacancy occurs 30 days or more from the date of the next scheduled bid of runs, the vacancy will be posted for bid by operators who have less seniority than the operator who vacated the run. SECTION 3. When a new run is established, it will be posted for one (1) week and will be filled by allowing the operators to select the run according to their seniority. Such vacancies shall be filled on the first Sunday following the close of posting. SECTION 4. When a regular run becomes vacant because of illness of the regular operator, said run shall not be posted for bid until the next run selection.   • Shift Selection In multiple shift operations, employees within each classification shall have a right to select their work shift on the basis of their seniority within a bureau or division thereof and competing only with employees covered under this agreement on the following basis: 12.1.1 After the employee's original selection of a work shift, changes may be made only when a vacancy occurs on another shift; provided, however, if the City eliminates any employee's shift, such employee shall have the right to exercise their seniority to select one of the existing shifts. 12.1.2 Shift trades or individual shift changes may be made by mutual agreement between the employees and the City, provided such changes are posted and there are not objections. However, any such mutually agreed changes shall not be subject to the overtime provisions of this agreement. 12.1.3 Group shift changes may be made by mutual agreement between the Union and the City. However, any such mutually agreed changes shall not be subject to the overtime provisions of this agreement. 12.1.4 When shift changes are made which are beyond the control of the City, the overtime provisions of this contract will be waived.

  • Site Selection 5.1.1 If the parties have not designated the street address of the Franchised Location on Exhibit A on the Effective Date, Franchisee shall identify, submit and obtain Franchisor’s prior written approval of the Franchised Location meeting the requirements of this Agreement prior to entering a lease or sublease for the Franchised Location. Franchisee shall provide Franchisor all information required by Franchisor, as determined by Franchisor in Franchisor’s sole determination, necessary for Franchisor to evaluate the Franchised Location. Franchisor shall have ten (10) business days to review Franchisee’s written site proposal for the Franchised Location and notify Franchisee of its approval or disapproval in writing. Franchisor’s failure to respond within ten (10) business days shall signify Franchisor’s disapproval of the site. Franchisor shall not unreasonably withhold Franchisor’s approval of a proposed site for the Franchised Location. 5.1.2 Franchisee must have a site for the Franchised Location approved by Franchisor, receive the opening notice from Franchisor described in Section 5.4 below, and open Franchisee’s Franchised Business for business within six (6) months from the Effective Date, except as otherwise provided in Section 5.1.3 All matters related in any way to Franchisee’s site are Franchisee’s sole responsibility, regardless of any assistance Franchisor may choose to provide. Franchisee is responsible for obtaining any architectural and engineering services required for Franchisee’s facility and for ensuring its compliance with local law. Neither Franchisor, nor any other person or company associated with Franchisor shall have any liability for any site‐related matter. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ agrees not to make any claims against Franchisor and/or any of Franchisor’s affiliates or associates with regard to such matters. 5.1.4 If Franchisor makes a loan to Franchisee for (i) Franchisee’s purchase of the franchise for the Franchised Business; (ii) the remodeling of the Franchised Location; (iii) the transfer of any interest in this franchise or this Agreement; or (iv) any other purpose; Franchisee shall open (or re‐open, as the case may be), the Franchised Business for business within sixty (60) days from the loan origination date.

  • Vacation Selection Employees who have not selected their vacation periods by November 15th shall not be entitled later to select vacation periods by seniority. Employees who do not select all of their vacation entitlements on the calendar shall be allowed to schedule vacation at a later date, provided that this selection does not affect the scheduled vacations of other employees.
